Barricade is a Chrome extension that blocks websites you choose. This policy describes what data exists, where it lives, and the one narrow case where anything leaves your machine.
Everything the extension itself works with is stored locally in your browser via Chrome's storage API and is never transmitted anywhere:
The extension has no account system and no server of ours to send anything to. Blocking is enforced by Chrome's declarativeNetRequest API, and Barricade never reads the content of the pages you visit.
The insights feature notes which site domain is in your active tab, how many minutes it stays there, and how often you switch to it. That is all, and it happens only on your device. These counts are kept in local browser storage for a rolling 30 days, are used solely to show you your most-visited distractions, and are never transmitted anywhere. You can turn the measurement off at any time in the extension's settings, which also deletes the collected counts immediately. Uninstalling the extension deletes them too.
Pro purchases are handled by ExtensionPay, with payment processing by Stripe. To make this work, the bundled ExtensionPay library communicates with extensionpay.com to register an anonymous installation identifier and check whether Pro is unlocked. If you buy Pro, ExtensionPay and Stripe receive the email address and payment details you enter at checkout. We never see your card number. Their handling of that data is governed by ExtensionPay's privacy policy and Stripe's privacy policy. Your blocklist and browsing are never part of this, only purchase status.
Uninstalling the extension deletes all locally stored data. To request deletion of purchase records held by ExtensionPay/Stripe, email support@barricadehq.com and we'll handle it within 30 days.
If this policy changes, the date above will change with it. Questions: support@barricadehq.com.
